On Saturday, April 9th, the Drumsistas and SeVana Marimba, a Gospel Group, Art Martinez on Sax, and other special Austin musicians bring you a Benefit Concert in honor of Ingoma Nshya, Rwanda’s first Women’s Drum Ensemble.

Ingoma Nshya is made up of Tutsi and Hutu women from both sides of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Kiki Katese, Founder and Visionary behind Ingoma Nshya with be at the concert sharing her story of the drumming group, the Ice Cream store they started together, Inzozi Nzazi (Sweet Dreams), and the continuing work she does to empower and bring healing and a renewed passion for life to the women and girls of Rwanda through music, movement, and the arts.
